" Manager Ron Washington put Ian Kinsler through a series of drills at second base Friday afternoon as the Rangers continue to build up the All-Star for an exit from the DL.

Kinsler said he will have an MRI exam on his strained left groin Tuesday or Wednesday and hopes to be cleared for a rehab assignment that day.

He has yet to sprint or swing a bat, which he will do last because team doctors believe that was how he was injured last month.

"This is the sort of my third spring training this year," Kinsler said. "If that MRI is clear, I expect to get sent out that day. I want to get this thing going." "
