"Second baseman Ian Kinsler probably won't return until the end of the month after a second MRI exam showed lingering inflammation in his strained left groin.

The injury has improved since it put Kinsler on the 15-day disabled list July 29, general manager Jon Daniels said. He said Kinsler would be playing were the Rangers in middle of a playoff series.

But Kinsler felt pain while jogging. Dr. Keith Meister determined that cautious approach is best with 50 games remaining.

The key for Kinsler is to have no pain when he swings a bat. He will begin running again, but he's at least a week away from hitting. "
