"Texas Rangers manager Ron Washington knows designated hitter Vladimir Guerrero hasn't gotten hot yet in the playoffs.Guerrero's RBI total of one through the first seven postseason games is one fewer than Mitch Moreland has and two fewer than Bengie Molina's total. But Washington's approach with his slugger who hit .300 with a team-high 115 RBIs in the regular season is patience."He's been doing this too long for us to get worried about anything he's doing at the plate," Washington said. "I'm not going to change things around because that would be a sign of panic. He's going to come through."Guerrero is hitting just .214 in the postseason with just one extra-base hit. Postseason play has normally been a time when Guerrero has shined. In two postseason series last year for Los Angeles, Guerrero had a homer and seven RBIs and hit .378.Guerrero knows he hasn't had a big postseason, but also knows there's still time for him to get the job done."I can't give myself a hard time about that," said Guerrero, who has just one hit in the first two games against New York. "It happens. Sometimes I've hit the ball good. Sometimes I don't hit it good. With the way that they're pitching to me, I have to make adjustments. So far we're playing good as a team and winning as a team, so that's the most important thing."Saturday's Game 2 victory featured a rare sight. Twice the New York Yankees intentionally walked Josh Hamilton to get to Guerrero, who 1,433 RBIs in the regular season."
