Not only did the Rangers not get OF Josh Hamilton back in the lineup for Wednesday, but they also lost 3B Adrian Beltre.

In addition to trying to determine the cause for Hamilton's blurred vision and inability to correctly focus with his eyes, the club was trying to determine the source of "intestinal issues," with Beltre that started before Tuesday's game and had not lessened in the 24 hours since. Beltre was not even with the Rangers Wednesday; the club told him to stay at his home in Orange County.

"We haven't gotten all the reports back yet," general manager Jon Daniels said when asked about how long the duo might be out. "The internist who saw Josh didn't find anything definitive, so he saw an ear, nose and throat specialist. Adrian had discomfort before [Tuesday's] game and that continued. He has had some tests and we haven't gotten all the results. Our sense is that these are things that could clear up quickly, but we're not sure."
