"There's a new sheriff in town when it comes to the Rams' defense, and Gregg Williams is more than willing to tell you all about it.

"There will be a culture change here," Williams said Tuesday during an introductory conference call. "I think the world of 'Spags,' but don't mistake me for that. I'm not him. And there will be some differences here on some of the things that I expect."

Steve Spagnuolo was the Rams' head coach, but he was very hands-on when it came to the defense. Williams, the Rams' new defensive coordinator, plans to put his own bold, indelible stamp on that unit.

"I'm not saying it's the right way to do things, but it's been a successful, valid way that I have been able to do things and make an impact at other places," Williams said."
