"It's funny how with all the talk of change and a new era and the severing of ties to the past, new Raiders coach Dennis Allen decided to reach back to a couple of the darkest years in team history for his new offensive coordinator.
League sources confirmed that Allen has hired former Raiders offensive coordinator Greg Knapp as the team's new offensive coordinator. He served as offensive coordinator in 2007 and '08 under Lane Kiffin, and worked with quarterback JaMarcus Russell, arguably the biggest bust in the history of the NFL."
