The Raiders signed former Mission San Jose High School place kicker Justin Medlock and trimmed four players from the roster Tuesday to get to the NFL limit of 75 players.

Medlock worked out for the Raiders Monday with the team in need of a kicker for Thursday night's game in Seattle because of an apparent injury to Sebastian Janikowski.

Linebacker Miles Burris a 15-game starter last season was placed on the reserve/physically unable to perform list meaning he will miss at least the first six games of the season.

Placed on injured reserve meaning they won't play for the Raiders this season were cornerback Joselio Hanson and running back Latavius Murray. Murray a fifth-round draft pick out of Central Florida had recent arthroscopic ankle surgery.

The Raiders also waived cornerback Mitchell White.

Medlock who played in college at UCLA has played in 11 games 10 with the Caroilina Panthers and is 8-for-12 on field goal attempts. He also played two season for the Toronto Argonauts (2009-10) and one season with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats (2011).
