The Raiders restructured new quarterback Matt Flynn's contract twice this offseason and he is getting $6.5 million guaranteed. That's a tough pill to swallow as far as benching him goes. The team will need a lot of water - and time.

Coach Dennis Allen wasn't ready to demote Flynn on Saturday night a day after an ugly two-interception outing that resulted in Coliseum fans booing Flynn and calling for backup Terrelle Pryor.

Allen said only that Pryor will probably get some work with the first-teamers in practice this week.

"That's a position we're still continuing to evaluate" Allen said.

Pryor threw for a touchdown and ran for one Friday night leading the Raiders to 20 straight points after they had fallen behind the Bears 27-0.

"I just think I competed. That's the first thing coach said ... that he was looking for guys to compete" Pryor said. "All I want to do is get better. I love this game more than anything."

Allen said after the 34-26 loss that he will pick the quarterback who gives the offense a better chance to score.

Well in three preseason games Oakland has scored 10 points on 13 drives with Flynn and 26 points in 10 drives with Pryor against second-team defenses.
