Michael Raffl said he felt like he was boxer.

“Knocked out,” said the Flyers forward, talking about the concussion he suffered in Thursday’s 2-1 loss at Denver.

Raffl has never had a concussion in his life. Though the 25-year-old Austrian won’t play Saturday night against the Phoenix Coyotes -- for precautionary reasons -- he says he feels good and has no headaches.

Matt Read (upper-body injury) also will not play as the Flyers wrap up a nine-day, five-game Western road trip.

Raffl went through a complete morning skate workout with the team without incident, including sprints at the end. He hopes to play Tuesday night in New Jersey.

“I didn’t expect to feel this good,” Raffl said. “No problems at all. I think I’ll be fine.”

He was injured during a clean board check from the Avs’ Gabriel Landeskog during Thursday’s first period, left the ice and never returned.
