After they improved to eight games over .500 with a three-game sweep of the two-time defending American League champions, manager Robin Ventura carefully answered whether his White Sox are a very good team or a great team.
"We can play with anybody," Ventura said Thursday. "Somebody else is going to have to describe that. We just keep playing."
Kevin Youkilis' second straight game-winning hit, a leadoff home run in the sixth, supported the two-hit pitching of rookie left-hander Jose Quintana, and the Sox beat the Rangers 2-1 for their sixth series sweep of the season. The Rangers hadn't been swept since June 2011.
