Niklas Hjalmarsson and Marcus Kruger were among the scratches for the Blackhawks' 7-5 loss to the Predators on Saturday night as coach Joel Quenneville continued to rest some starters in advance of the playoffs.

It was the first time either player wasn't in the lineup this season, which left Brent Seabrook, Nick Leddy, Patrick Sharp and Brandon Bollig as the Hawks who appeared in all 82 regular-season contests.

Quenneville turned superstitious when asked about the team's overall health this season, which was good up until injuries to Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews down the stretch.

"Is there some wood around here?" Quenneville said looking to give a knock. "Certainly, it's all timing. We had … some good stretches for most of the year. (Then) we had that stretch when you lose a couple of big guys. It's even tough talking about it."

For Leddy, it was the third consecutive season the defenseman appeared in every game. For Sharp, it was the second time in his 11 NHL seasons that he appeared in 82 contests.
