"Quarterback Shaun Hill worked with the first team at Detroit Lions practice today and appears in line to start Sunday's game against the Miami Dolphins.

Hill has not played since breaking his right index finger in the Lions' Thanksgiving Day loss to the New England Patriots.

"I'm just going to push it and hope to be the guy," he said.

Drew Stanton, who's 2-1 as a starter the last three games, worked second in the rotation despite a separated left (nonthrowing) shoulder.

"He showed a lot of toughness playing through it on Sunday and being able to finish the game was big," Lions coach Jim Schwartz said.

Regular starter Matthew Stafford did not practice today and is expected to miss his seventh straight game with a separated right shoulder."
