The NHL on Sunday levied a three-game suspension against Predators forward Filip Forsberg for committing interference Saturday on Rangers forward Jimmy Vesey.

As Vesey, a former Predators prospect, wheeled behind the Rangers' net during the second period of Nashville's 5-2 win, Forsberg flattened him with a reverse check.

The hit bloodied Vesey, but Forsberg didn't receive a penalty on the play. Vesey suffered an upper-body injury, according to the Rangers.
