North Carolina's Ed Davis and Baylor's Ekpe Udoh -- both power forwards and possibilities for the Pistons with the seventh pick of the first round -- realize the advantage of having Wallace show them the NBA ropes if they are selected by the Pistons later this month.

"I would love to learn behind him," Udoh said at last month's predraft combine in Chicago. "He's such a great guy, and he's been doing such a great job so that would be a great opportunity."

Udoh, who transferred to Baylor after two seasons at Michigan, is familiar with the four-time defensive player of the year. Davis' father, Terry, played in the NBA and was a star at Virginia Union -- just like Wallace. Davis considers Wallace like family."
