"Miami Dolphins linebacker Joey Porter practiced Friday and has been upgraded to probable for Sunday's home game against Tampa Bay despite an injured knee that slowed him all week.
Three Dolphins players are listed as doubtful, headed by starting left guard Justin Smiley ( shoulder). Smiley did not practice all week and was sent to see a shoulder specialist on Thursday, when he missed practice, but he was back in the practice bubble on Friday and was seen riding an exercise bike.
Also doubtful are linebacker Erik Walden (hamstring) and nose tackle Paul Soliai ( ankle). Walden is a "full core" special-teams player who would be difficult to replace, Dolphins coach Tony Sparano said, while Soliai made a career-high six tackles two weeks ago against the Jets.
Tight end Anthony Fasano practiced Friday but was listed as questionable with a hip problem.
For the 1-7 Buccaneers, wide receiver Antonio Bryant (shoulder) and defensive end Stylez G. White (shoulder) are doubtful.
Bryant is third on the Bucs with 229 receiving yards and second only to Kellen Winslow with two touchdown receptions. White is second on the team with three sacks and leads the Bucs with 18 quarterback pressures.
Running back Derrick Ward (knee) and backup quarterback Byron Leftwich (right elbow) are questionable, while wide receiver Michael Clayton (knee), cornerback Aqib Talib (hamstring), kickoff returner Clifton Smith (ankle) and offensive guard Davin Joseph (ankle) are all listed as probable."
