"Jets wide receiver Plaxico Burress returned to Jets headquarters Tuesday afternoon after cutting a pair of approved personal days short.

Burress was near his hometown of Virginia Beach handing out turkeys to needy families on Monday. He arrived back in New Jersey on Monday night and went to East Harlem this morning to donate laptops.

He missed two days of practice with approval from coach Rex Ryan. Burress was back in time to attend meetings Tuesday afternoon.

"I came back in last night. I wasn't supposed to come back until today, but I came back last night and tried to catch up as much as I could going into this week," Burress said. "Even though it's a big game they let me go out and fulfill my obligations so I just tried to come back and do as much as I can for the rest of the week.""
