"When Plaxico Burress, a 33-year-old veteran of nine NFL seasons, looks in the mirror each morning, he sees Benjamin Button, the fictional character who gets younger over time.

"I would say that when I step on this field Thursday or Friday, I'll look 25," said Burress, who has not played an NFL game since November 2008. "I feel that good physically."

Burress, who turns 34 on Aug. 12, began his tenure as a Jet Monday.

Unable to participate in practice or the morning walkthrough due to NFL rules restricting new signees from partaking in on-field activities until Thursday, Burress looked on with fellow free agent Santonio Holmes. The two dissected plays, discussed terminology and plotted the best way to work off each other this season."
