"When Plaxico Burress emerges from the tunnel at Lincoln Financial Field Sunday, he expects Eagles fans too boo him for past explosions against their team's defense during his years as a Giant.
"They love me," said Burress, who has five touchdown receptions and four games of more than 100 receiving yards against the Eagles in his career. "They just don't want to admit it."
Burress believes Eagles quarterback Michael Vick will welcome him.
Vick, who served 18 months in prison for his involvement in a dogfighting ring in 2007, set the path for Burress, imprisoned for 23 months after pleading guilty to a felony gun possession charge, to return to the NFL. Burress cited Vick's subsequent success as reason for him to maintain hope that he could return to the league after missing multiple seasons.
"I want him to do well, too," Burress said. "Just not enough to win."
