"The Pistons don't want to put pressure on free-agent center Ben Wallace, but if the 35-year-old decides to return for his 14th season, vice president of basketball operations Scott Perry says Detroit would "love to have him back."

"We'd love to have him back here for another year," Perry told Bret Bakita and Michael Grey on WBBL. "Even though he's getting up there in age, we feel he still has some things to offer."

Wallace continues to mull retirement and has said that even if he does return next season, he is still unsure it would be with the Pistons. Wallace averaged 5.5 points and led the team in rebounding (8.7) last season.

"Wallace exceeded above and beyond what anyone thought he could do at this stage in his career, from a physical stand point," Perry said."
