"Charlie Villanueva started Friday for the Detroit Pistons in place of the injured Jonas Jerebko.

But don't read to much into that. It doesn't necessarily mean Villanueva will start the season opener at power forward.

"I'm going to mix and match a lot of things," Pistons coach John Kuester said before his team's preseason game against the Milwaukee Bucks. "There's nothing etched in stone. I'm just sort of seeing who's going to be in that spot. Even with Jonas, when he was here, I was going to mix and match throughout this preseason."

Kuester also inserted Will Bynum into the starting lineup, moving Rodney Stuckey to shooting guard to start in place of Richard Hamilton. Hamilton remains away from the team after the birth of his son Wednesday.

Villanueva started 16 games last season and averaged 11.9 points and 4.7 rebounds in 78 games. He struggled at times fitting into Kuester's system and drew criticism for his play on the defensive end at times, but by all accounts worked hard to improve his game in the offseason."
