Rip Hamilton has gone from being a hero in the eyes of Pistons fans who remember the 2004 NBA title to the symbol of all that is wrong with the once-proud franchise.

Part of that is performance-related. Last season's scoring average of 14.1 points per game was Hamilton's lowest since his rookie season with the Wizards in 1999-2000.
