"In better Pistons years, Tayshaun Prince almost could pick and chose when he wanted to pour it on. But those successful seasons are distant memories as the Pistons (6-14) languish at the bottom of the Eastern Conference standings.

Prince was a bright note again in the team's latest disappointing result, a Friday night loss to the undermanned Orlando Magic, 104-91. He led the Pistons with 30 points and five assists in playing another strong game and taking over as team leader.

Prince isn't shying away from the role as he might have done in the past. He is showing up every game and is willing later to discuss where things are breaking down.

"It's a situation where we have to get everyone on the same page -- one or two guys are not going to do the whole (team) justice," he said after practice Saturday. "We got to get everyone flowing properly, and until we do that, we're not going to win.""
