"Pistons coach John Kuester has a quick hook when it comes to Charlie Villanueva.

It's understandable considering Villanueva doesn't help much in other areas besides scoring.

But it's apparent that realization isn't reaching Villanueva, who yelled and pointed at Kuester on the bench after being taken out with 9:22 left in Wednesday's 100-94 loss to the Heat.

Villanueva was benched during Miami's 15-0 run that turned the Pistons' eight-point lead to start the fourth into a seven-point deficit. Villanueva was having a hard time matching up with Miami's small lineup and had several defensive lapses, including a defensive 3-second violation.

Earlier this season, Villanueva retweeted a comment critical of Kuester from one of his more than 140,000 followers.

Villanueva wasn't available to the media after practice Thursday, but Kuester said he understands Villanueva's frustration."
