Channing Frye knows what opponents think when they play the Suns.

"Go at Channing," he said.

There has been a lot of that over the past two seasons as Frye faces more scorers and prolific shooters at power forward than he did previously as the Suns' center. The likes of Atlanta's Josh Smith, Golden State's David Lee, Minnesota's Kevin Love and the Los Angeles Clippers' Blake Griffin are volume shooters who test Frye in different ways.

"I've got to be more defensive-minded and be more aggressive," Frye said. "At the beginning of games, I have to establish who I am and what I'm going to do to the refs. I say, 'Hey, I'm going to be physical with him. I don't have all the muscle in the world. Talk to me and let me know.' I have to make them work on every possession."
