Phils make it official, Rollins signs new deal

"Jimmy Rollins is staying where he feels he belongs, and he'll be doing so for the long haul.

The 33-year-old shortstop agreed over the weekend to a three-year, $33 million contract with an $11 million vesting option for a fourth year, and the Phillies officially announced the deal Monday.

The deal will keep Rollins, already the longest-tenured professional athlete in Philadelphia, with the Phillies through 2015, assuming he stays healthy and his option vests. Even if it doesn't, that vesting option could become a club option at $8 million or a player option at $5 million. "
