It is a thing of beauty when a team's best players indeed play their best — and so it is with the Maple Leafs these days, in their continuing push for a playoff spot.

Mikhail Grabovski scored twice, including the overtime winner, and Phil Kessel got another goal — his eighth in eight games — as the Leafs kept up their hot play.

But the unsung hero on Wednesday was Dion Phaneuf.
