"Peyton Manning was anything but a casual observer of Super Bowl XLVI Sunday at Lucas Oil Stadium.
He had a vested interest, one that primarily zeroed in on New York Giants' quarterback. That would be younger brother Eli.
"Couldn't be happier for him,'' Peyton said today. "Couldn't be prouder. It was a special night.''
With Peyton looking on, Eli led the New York Giants to a 21-17 victory over the New England Patriots. Eli completed 30-of-40 passes for 296 yards and directed the game-winning 88-yard drive in the game's final minutes.
He was named the game's MVP, just as he was in Super Bowl XLII when the Giants also beat the Patriots."
