To cap a week of intense joint practices between the Broncos and Texans, the two teams faced off in their third preseason matchup of 2014, at Sports Authority Field at Mile High on Saturday. And, following suit with their three practices at Dove Valley, tempers flared as the Texans rallied for an 18-17 victory.

For starters, Broncos receiver Wes Welker, no stranger to concussions, received yet another one (he sustained two last season) after a vicious hit by Texans safety D.J. Swearinger in the second quarter. That hit, prompted Peyton Manning to get in Swearinger's face and offer a few words of advice. And those few words landed Manning a 15-yard penalty for taunting.

On the bright side, the Broncos, even in defeat, impressed, days after Manning said they "stunk." Receiver Emmanuel Sanders caught his first touchdown pass from Manning, then followed with another in less than two minutes to close out the first half. Linebacker Von Miller returned for his first game since tearing his ACL last season, and running back Montee Ball looked solid in his preseason debut after undergoing an appendectomy earlier in the month.

So what did Manning and the other players and coaches have to say about this matchup, as well as The Taunt?
