"Petr Sykora, once a member of the Devils' A Line with Patrik Elias and Jason Arnott, has been invited to training camp on a tryout basis, according to general manager Lou Lamoriello.

The Devils have also invited Justin Barnett, Steve Bernier, Anton Stralman and Thomas Nesbitt to camp. None of the five players are signed to contracts and will be in camp solely on a tryout basis.

Sykora, who will turn 35 in November, played in his native Czech Republic and in Russia's Kontinental Hockey League last season. He had 13 points (five goals, eight assists) in 13 games for Plzen in the Czech Republic and 15 points (eight goals, seven assists) in 28 games for Dynamo Minsk."
