"Adrian Peterson will play Sunday against the Buffalo Bills, but the Vikings will be without three starters.
Wide receiver Percy Harvin (migraine), left guard Steve Hutchinson (broken thumb) and defensive end Ray Edwards (ankle) are inactive.
Peterson, who suffered a sprained right ankle last week, tested it out in early warmups with coach Leslie Frazier, offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell, running backs coach Eric Bieniemy and head athletic trainer Eric Sugarman looking on.
Harvin missed most of the week while dealing with a migrained-related illness. He was listed as questionable. This is the second game Harvin has missed because of migraines in his career. Bernard Berrian will start in his place. Toby Gerhart is listed as the backup kickoff returner.
Hutchinson fractured his right thumb in the second quarter last week and is wearing a cast. He did not practice all week and was listed as questionable. His absence snaps his consecutive starts streak at 123 regular-season games, 131 including playoffs.
Rookie Chris DeGeare will start in his place. Ryan Cook replaced Anthony Herrera (ACL) at right guard last week."
