Shaquon Anderson-Butts, a 3-star athlete and Harrisburg, Pa., native, has committed to Penn State, he announced Saturday.

Anderson-Butts is ranked as the No. 16 athlete nationally and No. 12 recruit in Pennsylvania, according to the 247Sports composite. The 6-foot, 202-pound wide receiver from Harrisburg High School has been considered a Penn State lean for a while.

He’s high school teammates with former Penn State commit Micah Parsons, and said in May that the two could be a potential “package deal.” Anderson-Butts previously said he wouldn’t commit until his birthday on July 25, but evidently the atmosphere this weekend was too much to overcome.
