"Penguins winger Bill Guerin (back) will be a game-time decision to play Saturday against Dallas at Mellon Arena.

A late scratch Thursday night at the New York Rangers because of back spasms, Guerin did not practice Friday at Southpointe. If Guerin does play, he will skate on a line with center Sidney Crosby and winger Chris Kunitz. If he cannot, newly acquired winger Alexei Ponikarovsky may share shifts on lines centered by both Crosby and Evgeni Malkin.

? Ponikarovsky practiced with the Penguins for the first time since he was acquired late Tuesday night from Toronto. He will wear No. 23, last worn by winger Eric Boguniecki in 2006. Ponikarovsky will see time as a net-front presence on the power-play unit, coach Dan Bylsma said."
