Penguins vet Guerin drops the gloves again

"Penguins right wing Bill Guerin will turn 40 later this year, but he isn't too old to spark his team by dropping the gloves.

Late in the first period against Atlanta on Saturday, Guerin landed a number of right hands against Jim Slater. Guerin, who has drawn five fighting majors this season, now has fought in the past two games.

A team leader since his arrival from the Islanders last season, Guerin said after the team's early-morning practice Thursday that it was time for the team to "get serious." He was all business in yesterday's one-sided fight.

Coach Dan Bylsma has made it clear that he approves of players sticking up for themselves, and he praised Guerin's aggression yesterday."
