On the eve of what could be his final start in a White Sox uniform, Jake Peavy described his 31/2 seasons with the Sox as a "roller-coaster ride."

Peavy was emphatic Monday that he will pitch Tuesday night, regardless of whether the Sox were eliminated from the American League Central race.

"I hope people would say through it all I tried to be a good team guy and be here through good and bad," said Peavy, who has a 28-25 record and 3.96 ERA over 70 appearances since joining the Sox on July 31, 2009. "I appreciate (general manager) Ken Williams and the patience and the work we had to do in the training room."
