"While it might not have surprised his NHL colleagues, being picked first in Thursday night's All-Star draft shocked Red Wings forward Pavel Datsyuk.

"I'm surprised, really surprised," Datsyuk told Red Wings TV. "Of course I'm happy. My legs a bit shaky, but it's ... I'm so happy."

Datsyuk got another surprise when he joined team captain Zdeno Chara on stage and was embraced by the hulking Bruins defenseman.
