"Now that NBA players have been locked out by the owners, players are figuring out what they're going to do if things extend into the season.

Los Angeles Lakers center Pau Gasol(notes) says he'd like to go play in his homeland of Spain, but he'd take a gig in China, too, according to the Associated Press.

"Spain would be the first choice -- I wouldn't say only one, but the first," Gasol said, adding that China has "great potential," the AP reports.

The idea of sitting out a season seemed "weird" to Gasol, the AP notes."
