The New England Patriots re-signed wide receiver Austin Collie, the team announced Thursday.

Collie, who previously played in four games for the team and had three receptions for 34 yards, was released on Nov. 5 following the team's Week 9 win over the Steelers. Collie, 28, injured his knee during that game and was forced to depart.

The veteran receiver was originally drafted in the fourth round by the Colts back 2009 out of Brigham Young. He has career totals of 176 catches for 1,879 yards and 16 touchdowns.
