The Patriots released defensive tackle Brandon Deaderick on Monday, letting go of the former seventh-round pick who had some solid production in 2012.

The team also announced the addition of two interior linemen -- Tyronne Green, a free agent guard from San Diego, and undrafted free agent guard/tackle R.J. Mattes from NC State.

Deaderick, 25, played in 14 games last year with a sack and two forced fumbles. He was a key contributor at the tail end of the season. He played 48 of the 72 defensive snaps in the AFC Championship Game against Baltimore. While Kyle Love played a higher percentage of the snaps for the season than Deaderick, Deaderick's usage was on the uptick down the stretch.

The team also announced the release of wide receiver Andre Holmes, a practice squad player last season.
