"Patrick Peterson has plenty of incentive to recover from a sore Achilles' tendon to play in the final game of the season on Sunday.
He would set a NFL record with a fifth punt return for a touchdown. And he needs 21 punt return yards to pass Louis Lipps (656 yards) for an NFL rookie record.
Peterson's chances of doing both received a boost when Fox assigned Sam Rosen to do the play-by-play for the game.
Peterson returned punts for touchdowns in all four Cardinals games Rosen has worked this season.
Peterson didn't practice on Wednesday after suffering a left Achilles' injury last Saturday in Cincinnati. An MRI revealed no tears or rupture, but the injury could keep Peterson out of Sunday's game.
"It's a 50-50 shot," Peterson said Tuesday evening. "I definitely have to be smart about the situation. We'll see how I progress throughout the week."
Safety Kerry Rhodes (ankle) and right tackle Brandon Keith (ankle) also missed practice."
