"Arizona Cardinals rookie cornerback Patrick Peterson underwent an MRI exam on his injured left Achilles' tendon Monday and it revealed no tears, which means no surgery is necessary.

The exam showed inflammation and tendinitis, but Peterson will undergo treatment this week and hopes to play against the Seahawks.

Peterson suffered the injury after making an interception against the Bengals that was nullified by a Cardinals penalty."
