"Bengals defensive tackle Pat Sims officially came off the active PUP list on Sunday when he took part in his first practice.
The fourth-year player was rehabbing from offseason knee surgery during training camp.
"I'm OK. It felt great to get out there and run around," Sims said. "Sometimes you have injuries you need to watch before you come back. I did my rehab and took it day by day. It's time to come back."
The return of Sims gives the Bengals a deep group of defensive tackles. He has started 22 games the past three seasons, including the final eight year. With the release of Tank Johnson, Geno Atkins has moved into the starting spot and Clinton McDonald has had a very good preseason.
Sims is expected to play in Thursday's preseason finale against Indianapolis."
