The Florida Panthers interviewed Ron Wilson for their vacant head coaching position this week, according to a report from the SportsBusiness Journal.

Wilson hasn’t coached at the NHL level since he was fired by the Toronto Maple Leafs midway through the 2011-12 season. The firing came just months after Toronto handed Wilson a contract extension on Christmas Day.

During parts of four seasons in Toronto, Wilson posted a record of 130-135-45 and did not make a post-season appearance.
