Wide receiver Ted Ginn, who spent three seasons with the 49ers as a wide receiver and return man, is reportedly expected to visit the club on Wednesday as a free agent.

Ginn, who turns 30 in April, caught just 14 passes in 16 games last season with the Arizona Cardinals, and was released last week to clear $2.5 million in cap space. He averaged 10.7 yards on 26 punt returns with a touchdown. On kickoffs, he averaged a career-low 19.0 yards on 22 returns.

Ginn was a return specialist with the 49ers from 2010 to ’12. He caught just 33 passes in three seasons. In his final season with the 49ers, he caught just two passes for 1 yard in 13 games. He had three touchdowns on returns in his three seasons.
