"Indiana Pacers power forward Josh McRoberts just wanted a chance to show he still deserves a spot in the rotation even if he's not going to start.
That chance came against the New Jersey Nets on Friday.
Starting in place of an ill Tyler Hansbrough, McRoberts had seven points, five assists, four rebounds and a block in 39 minutes in the Pacers' 124-92 victory.
"It felt good to be back out there," McRoberts said. "Everybody wants to play."
Hansbrough took part in the team's morning shootaround and wanted to play in the game, but the team decided to hold him out.
Hansbrough went to Chicago on Friday afternoon to meet the team for tonight's game against the Bulls."
