"The Indiana Pacers will have another body to compete for the vacant starting power forward spot when training camp starts next week.
Forward Tyler Hansbrough was given a doctor's clearance to take part in contact drills Thursday after dealing with vertigo for nearly nine months.
Hansbrough, the Pacers' 2009 first-round pick, had been limited to non-contact drills since early July.
Hansbrough was originally injured in a game at Boston in December. He averaged 8.5 points and 4.8 rebounds in 29 games last season."
