Steve Ott signed a two-year contract to remain with the St. Louis Blues, the team announced Thursday. Financial terms were not released, but Jeremy Rutherford of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported the total value to be $5.2 million.

Ott, 31, joined the Blues before the trade deadline last season following a trade from the Buffalo Sabres. He had no goals and three assists in 23 regular-season games with the Blues, and two points in six Stanley Cup Playoff games.

He finished 2013-14 with nine goals and 23 points in 82 games including his time with the Sabres. Ott had averaged more than a half-point per game (63 in 112 games) in the previous two seasons combined. His 2013-14 point total was his lowest since 2007-08.

Ott has 103 goals, 267 points and 1,355 penalty minutes in 696 career regular-season games with the Dallas Stars, Sabres and Blues.
