UK has lost its leading receiver.

Junior wide receiver Jeff Badet, who led UK with 670 receiving yards in 2016, will transfer, the school announced Friday. Badet is on track to graduate in May. He could then play his final season of eligibility immediately elsewhere.

“I want to thank all the coaches, especially Coach Stoops, for everything they’ve done for me over the past four years,” Badet said in a news release. “I also want to thank my brothers on the team and the Big Blue Nation for their support. I just feel like it’s the best decision for me to finish my career as a graduate transfer. I’ll always be proud of receiving my degree from UK and I’ll bleed blue forever.”

Badet finishes his UK career with 82 catches for 1,385 yards and seven touchdowns. He ranked sixth in the country in yards per catch (21.6) this season.
