Orioles second baseman Brian Roberts left Thursday's game in the ninth inning after diving headfirst into second base on a stolen base attempt.

Roberts was helped off the field by head trainer Richie Bancells and first-base coach Wayne Kirby an appeared unable to put weight on his right leg.

Roberts, who was limited to 17 games last season, has played in just 115 games over the past three seasons due to multiple concussions and August hip surgery that ended his 2012 campaign.

Roberts, who is 5-for-12 this season, reached base on a single to left field to open the inning. With Nate McLouth at the plate, Roberts stole second diving headfirst across the bag. As he came up, Roberts was holding the bottom part of his right leg.
