Oregon may not have been the place for one speedster, but it seems to be the destination for another.

Ten days after four-star recruit Budda Baker decommitted from Oregon, three-star athlete Charles Nelson has decided to join the Ducks.

The 5-foot-9, 165-pound athlete out of Seabreeze High School in Daytona Beach, Fla., verbally committed to the Ducks after completing his official campus visit over the weekend. Oregon edged out a list including Notre Dame, USC and West Virginia for Nelson's services.

"First I would like to thank God for the opportunities he has given me and the fans for all the support," Nelson said via his Twitter account. "I'm glad to say that I have committed to the Oregon Ducks."

As a receiver, Nelson caught 35 passes for 509 yards and seven touchdowns in his senior season with the Sandcrabs and recorded 57 tackles and four interceptions as a defensive back.

Nelson's speed and size have drawn comparisons to the 5-foot-10 Baker, who committed to Oregon in December before changing his mind earlier this month.
