Ebs is questionable and Flow is out for Tuesday in Montreal.

The Oilers won’t say what’s ailing Jordan Eberle and Ryan Smyth but Eberle missed practice Monday for the second day in a row while Smyth and his trademark hair are already back in Edmonton.

Dallas Eskins who was already down Taylor Hall Sam Gagner and Jesse Joensuu up front can only cross his fingers that Eberle can make it to the starting gate for the final game of their six-game road trip.

“You could argue that Jordan has been our best forward he’s a big part of our team” said the coach. “We’ll cross our fingers that he’s good for Tuesday but we have to be careful with that too we don’t to rush him and make it turn into something bigger.”

Eberle who was at the practice rink both days had been complaining of stiffness somewhere. They’re hoping it’ll ease up with rest and treatment but won’t know till Tuesday.

“It’s one of those nagging ones” said Eakins. “Even before I knew how he was yesterday I let our medical staff know that I didn’t want him to skate. I don’t think it’s necessary. He’s a fairly fit kid and he’s played lots of minutes for us. It’s not like practising is going to help him be better right now so I wanted him to stay off the ice.”
